Penny McAllister... Sock Monkey Sculptures

The work of sweet Penny McAllister is sure to bring on a cheery smile. Look at these sweet funky sock monkey sculptures !!! I just think the one on the Ellie is sooo cute. I purchased the girl sock monkey in the top picture. She looks so cute in my studio. I will fill the box with something sweet perhaps.

Speaking of Ellie's.... My daughter has an Elephant Dreams blog now !!!
Check it out here !!!!

3 Little Monkeys Played Here Today:

Love your site! My grandma made them for all the grandkids oh so many years ago (1950's & 1960's) and would go to the thrift shop and buy old formals for a quarter each. My favorite was dressed in red velvet and black lace & had a boyfriend in a red vest and cap. She taught me to make them when I was in my late teens and I made them for my kids and grandkids and even sold some but really don't have the time to do that. Love making them and seeing their personality come to life though.

ps...there are probably a few on my blog here and there if you care to do a search on it (threads of a tatting goddess)

Wow! What a nice suprise my hubby found while doing a blog search the other day! Thank you for featuring my sock monkeys!

A little head's up.....there will be more sock monkeys from Seasons of Cannon Falls in my Christmas 09 collection, coming out in January 09!

Visit their website www.seasonsofcannonfalls.com to see a cute sock monkey video....(not my monkeys but some by an inhouse designer)
